Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~ Robert Frost

Hope your holiday was memorable and filled with much laughter & joy! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favorite poems! I love Robert Frost. We have an old record of him reading some of his poems, and I used to put it on and rock my older daughter when she was a babe, and she would fall asleep to the steady rhythm of his voice.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
